Refund and cancellation
This policy applies to paid programming consulting engagements (assessments, advisory blocks, and scoped implementation) offered by SignalModule Consulting (Pty) Ltd (CIPC 2019/608402/07).
Several timeframes below are proposed market baselines — pending explicit business confirmation — and are disclosed here in line with the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA).
Direct marketing cooling-off
If you concluded a transaction after unsolicited direct marketing (including responding to a paid advertisement), you may cancel within 5 (five) business days of conclusion under CPA regulation 5(2), unless work you requested has already been fully performed with your agreement.
Service fees before work starts
If you paid a fee but work has not started, you may request a full refund within 5 business days of written confirmation of the engagement. Contact us at info@signalmodule.digital or +27-15-000-0117 with your name, invoice reference, and reason.
Deposits and milestones
Deposits and milestone payments become non-refundable once the milestone described in your written scope has started. “Started” means we have committed calendar time or delivered partial artefacts defined in that milestone.
Assessments and delivered reports
When a technical assessment report has been delivered to you, the assessment fee is non-refundable except where required by the CPA for defective service — contact us to discuss remediation first.
Cancellations and rescheduling
Advisory sessions may be rescheduled with at least 48 hours notice. Late cancellations may forfeit the session fee if stated in your written scope.
No-shows
If you miss a scheduled session without notice, we may treat the session as delivered for billing purposes when your scope allows.
How refunds are paid
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within 10 business days unless we agree otherwise in writing.
Disputes
We aim to resolve concerns directly. You retain statutory rights under the CPA and may approach the National Consumer Commission where applicable.
